A large-format mobile touchscreen display mounted to mobile cart to eventually replace SMARTBoards and projectors in full size instructional spaces. Interactive panels offer a high-quality bright display and built-in whiteboard software. While they are not indestructible, these units are designed to withstand regular classroom use.
There are two brands of interactive panels in Greece classrooms: Boxlight and ViewSonic. All panels have a built-in PC (inserted on the back of the panel). This means staff logs onto the panel using their Greece Network login (not Google) credentials.
Both ViewSonic and BoxLight panels run the same software, Whiteboard for Windows. Our training materials apply to all of our panels, it doesn't matter which type your school uses.
Interactive Panels are intentionally located on wheeled carts and provide teachers and schools more options than mounted boards. They can be moved throughout the building for special events such as staff meetings, parent nights, etc and between classrooms but should be returned to the original location.
Panels can be connected wirelessly to an alternative device (Chromebook, laptop, etc).
A wireless keyboard and stylus are included with each panel (these are school responsibility for damage or replacement).
SMARTBoards can be requested to be removed through Principals ONLY, however the timing of this is based on several factors. Principals can prioritize specific removals. The Technology department will continue to service projectors and SMARTBoards for minor repairs only. Significant repairs may necessitate removal of projectors/SMARTBoards.
When leaving your classroom:
During the day LOCK your Windows account each time you leave your room (press the Window key +L)
At the end of your day use Windows to RESTART the board and leave it on (press the Windows key on your keyboard, click the Power button then click Restart)
There are flexible options for how to display and interact with your panel. At the moment:
Whiteboard for Windows: can open legacy SMART Notebook files, operate like a blank canvas, add interactive tools (timer, dice, protractor, etc)
Annotate.net: allows you to write on any website or web-based tool, including Google Workspace
Kami: allows you to specifically write on a pdf

How do I convert .Notebook files from my Smartboard
Open Myviewboard: Locate the Myviewboard icon on your desktop and double-click to launch the application.
Locate your .notebook file: Minimize the Myviewboard window and navigate to the folder where your .notebook file is saved using your file explorer.
Drag and Drop: Click and hold the .notebook file with your mouse. Drag it all the way over the Myviewboard canvas (the white interactive whiteboard space).
Release: Once the file is hovering over the canvas, release your mouse button. This will initiate the import process.
Import Options (Optional): A pop-up window might appear with import options depending on your Myviewboard version. You can typically choose to import all slides (portrait) or select specific slides. Myviewboard recommends importing as "Landscape" for a better fit.
Import and Save (Optional): The .notebook file will be imported into Myviewboard. To save the file as a Myviewboard file (.mwb) for future editing, follow these steps:
Click the folder icon in the bottom toolbar. This opens the "Open" menu.
Select "Save As".
Choose a name and location for your new .mwb file.
Additional Notes:
Some features unique to SMART Notebook might not be compatible with Myviewboard. For instance, animations or flash elements might not import correctly.
If you encounter any issues with drag and drop, you can always use the import menu.
