Year at a Glance
During the 2024-2025 school year, MBLC teams will be asked to attend one event per month (except during December and April.)
Monthly online meetings will include a 30-40 minute webinar segment followed by a 45 min - 1 hour breakout room discussion with educators from other schools.
In-person gatherings will happen twice a year, in October and May.
Other MBLC events include MBLC Fellows Meetings, BIPOC Affinity Group, MBLC School Visits, Youth Advisory Sessions, and possibly another trip to NYC Competency Collaborative Schools. See below for more details.
Please include in your 2024-2025 work plan stipend amounts to support educators who will attend the online meetings, and travel expenses to support teams traveling to the in-person Gatherings.

BIPOC Affinity Group
The MBLC BIPOC Affinity Group will be available for all BIPOC staff members (classroom and non-classroom educators) at MBLC schools.
This group will meet 5 times online over the course of the year, with dates TBD.
Please include in your 2024-2025 work plan stipend amounts to support educators who will attend the online meetings,
MBLC School Visits
There will be at least one school visitation to an MBLC school this year. More information coming soon!
Note: You may want to include money to cover travel expenses in your work plan.
Youth Advisor/Adult Ally Sessions
There will be a series of online events for youth advisors at MBLC schools. These will take place during school hours.

NYC Competency Collaborative School Visit (tentative)
NYC Competency Collaborative School Visit
New Learning Collaborative may offer another opportunity next spring to visit NYC Competency Collaborative Schools. This is not definite at this time.
We estimate a total cost up to $5000.00 for a team of 2 educators—including airfare, hotel, all meals, bus transportation to schools, and program fee.
More information will be shared at a later date.
