GLSI/Mi-STAR PBE PLCs were first piloted in Michigan in 2022.  They were developed through a partnership between Mi-STAR at Michigan Technological University and the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative (GLSI) with support from the MiSTEM Advisory Council.

This video features teachers and eighth graders from Armstrong Middle School in the Kearsley School District who partnered with the Genesee County Parks’ For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum to add PBE to Mi-STAR Unit 8.7.

These materials were developed under a MiSTEM Network grant awarded by the Michigan Department of Education and with support from our partners at the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative and Mi-STAR at Michigan Technological University.
