The Flint River Watershed Coalition (FRWC) Environmental Leaders program serves youth that want to build their environmental leadership skills. Supported by a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Great Lakes Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET), this program will bring together middle and high school youth with community partners to advance environmental stewardship and solve problems facing natural resources in our communities.

The Flint River Environmental Leaders program brings together student representatives in grades 7-13 from across the Flint River watershed. Youth decide which issues to explore in their own communities and share ideas with others for how to protect and improve the Flint River and the surrounding area.
