To ensure that all children are ready for kindergarten you can do these simple strategies:
Read Together - When reading a book, talk with your child about the pictures, ask them questions during the story, "What do you think will happen next?", let them read the story to you, using the pictures!
Talk Together - Sharing conversations with your children can be so rewarding! "Do you hear the birds? Birds say, Chirp, Chirp, Can you sound like a bird? Chirp, Chirp?" The more you talk, the more your children absorb!
Count Together - Count objects around you! The cars you pass on the road, the stop signs you see, the spoons in your home, the lights in your house.
Play Together - Encourage your child to play dramatically, use boxes, laundry baskets, and pillows to create an unexplored land, allow your child to add all the details!
Move Together - Dance, jump, actually, just move! Being active with your child is important. It allows them to see you move in ways they can't just yet. Encourage your child to move their body everyday!
Connect Together - Bonding with your child is so important. Creating a safe environment, talking about them, share the reasons you love them so much!
