What does RISE look like in Minecraft? In order to be eligible to compete in the build challenge you must first complete this Padlet:
Choose the "Rise in MinecraftEdu" discussion.

The Build Challenge
The Build Challenge
Our first challenge of the year will be in Minecraft for education. Your Build Challenge will be to recreate the book cover for either a book you read over the this year OR your favorite book. Use the Camera, Portfolio, Structure Blocks (3D only), and the Book & Quill to capture the cover you created. In your Book & Quill you will also need to create a short Book Review recommending your book to your peers. Remember - No Spoilers!

What are your goals for this challenge? Are you new to Minecraft and want to learn a bit? Are you an expert Minecraft player and want to win the challenge? It's time to set two goals. Note: In order to get your button you must complete this step.
1) A goal for your Minecraft book cover creation.
2) A goal about recommending a book to your peers.
Make your goals SMART and add your goals to this Padlet.

Download Minecraft for Education (available for MAC OS, iPad, Windows, or as a Windows App) (If using a school chromebook it should already be installed.)
Login to Minecraft for Education
Click Play
Click on the "Import" Button
Choose the downloaded Book Cover World
Click OK
