I would like to take a moment to welcome you all. I hope you all had a great summer, and are ready to have an exciting year full of learning and fun; but first, I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Aicha Allata, and I will be the homeroom teacher for KC.This will be my 7th year teaching kindergarten at Granada. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Psychology, and I have also worked as a psychologist for eight years. Additionally, I also hold a Degree in Early Childhood Education. I hold a certificate as a Teacher, Master Teacher (mentor), and Site Supervisor for Preschool and T-kindergarte. I am also a positive diescipline certified teacher.
I am excited to meet you all during our Meet and Greet on from Thursday, August, 7 iin Turf Area (beside the playground). And don't forget to bring your school supplies!
The first day of school is on Wednesday, August 11 insha'allah. Here are some notes
For the first two days pick up is at 12:30 .Class begins promptly at 8:00 am. Please drop students at the KA classroom (room #26) starting at 7:45 am.
Pick-up:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday is at 3:15pm.
Wednesday is at 2:00 pm.
All students should come to school dressed in the proper school uniform as stated in the GIS Parents-Students Handbook.
Students need to bring a labeled lunch box with both 2 snacks and one lunch. Please make sure that your child’s lunch is nutritious and healthy. The following items are not allowed: chips, cake, candies, chocolate, etc. Also, it is highly recommended that all juices should be 100% fruit. No fruit punches with (added sugar) will be allowed. We have two snack times and lunch scheduled for the students.
Students need to bring a backpack to school everyday (big enough for the homework folder, lunchbox, and water bottle). No roller backpacks.
