Tournament Information 

MONEY CHANGING

There are no money changing facilities on campus. Please have your students

change money at the airport. There will be money changing opportunities for coaches at the hotel or at the adjacent mall, if required.


EVENT BADGE

Each participant, coach, and visiting parent will be given an event badge to use during the duration of the event. Coaches and athletes will use these for lunch. 


WATER BOTTLES

All participants must bring their own water bottle. Cups will not be provided, but there will be plenty of water available in coolers at and around the courts.


COACHES/ADMINISTRATION TRANSPORTATION

We will run daily buses to and from the hotel/school for the coaches and trip administrators. Buses will run at the start and end of the day. A  schedule will be provided. Coaches wishing to return to the hotel in the middle of the day can use Uber. 


OPENING/CLOSING CEREMONIES


The Opening Ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 30 at 9:30 am in the Athletics Center. Team photos will immediately follow the ceremony. Teams will be given instructions on how to enter and where to sit, congregating inside the gym before introductions. 


The Closing Ceremony will take place in the Haddad Center for the Performing Arts after the BBQ. 


All participants should wear their travel suits for the Closing Awards Ceremony.


LIVE STREAM

We plan to live stream all competitions. A link will be shared prior to travel with information on the website and where to watch the event. All teams will be given access to high-quality tournament photographs at the end of the event.


MEDICAL

Medical personnel will be present at all times to deal with injuries that occur during the event. Teams need to bring their own first aid kits and tape for taping their own athletes. 


Proposals for any rule changes can be submitted during the tournament for discussion and endorsement (or not) at the coaches meeting on Saturday. Any rule suggestions that are endorsed by the coaches will then go to the AD’s for discussion and voting at their next in-person meeting. 


FACILITIES 

All competitions will take place in our Graded Aquatics center. A 6 lane, 25m pool. 

Spectators can view the competition from the Athletics center bleachers, but are not allowed to enter the pool area. 



OFFICIALS

The officials will come from the São Paulo Swimming Federation.


Curfew: 

All Evenings 22:00. 

Curfew means that visiting Athletes will be in their assigned host family home by the given time.  


Lunch:  Will be served in the Big tent (this will be open from 11:00-2:30 everyday)


Snacks: Gatorade, fruit, cookies will be available to all athletes in the Team tents.  The Graded Snack bar will also be open for meals and snacks outside of lunch times.  


Coaches Room: Coffee, snacks and conversation will be available in the coaches room. 


Team Tents: Will be provided for all visiting teams.  Visiting students are expected to keep their Team Tents clean throughout the tournament.
