Early Childhood Addition
The new addition is a 2,400 square feet space that will provide space for early childhood education.
The space will include accommodations for parent pickup/drop off.
Two flexible classroom environments and designated resource area including young child and adult ADA accessible restrooms & changing areas.
Adjacent to the classroom area will be an outdoor playground space specifically for the younger students.
Elementary School Reconfiguration/Renovation
The renovation will include 17,300 square feet of existing middle/high school areas.
Safe and Secure Entry Vestibule
The proposed renovated space will provide a designated ADA accessible elementary safe/secure entry vestibule with an office area that will support elementary school students to also include, reception, offices, and health services.
Special Education Rescue Area
An update to the existing 1,150 square foot SPED resource area to support elementary age students.
Flexible Classroom Environments
An addition of flexible learning classrooms for kindergarten through fifth grade, which will equal a total of 4,500 square feet.
The younger grade levels of kindergarten and first grade will be provided restrooms within the classroom area.
All classrooms will be updated with new cabinetry, furniture, and equipment.
Within the classroom area will include an open collaborative 1,100 sq. ft. STEAM lab which will support supplemental instruction.
Learning Commons
A centrally located 2400 square foot learning commons will be positioned amongst the general classrooms.
This area will be designed to be inviting, collaborative and resourceful for students as it will provide 1:1, group, and resource spaces to support students and resource professionals.
This collaboration area will also host a media center providing books, equipment and technology needed for CGB students.
Adjacent to this area will also include ADA accessible restrooms and storage as needed.
Music Classroom
A designated 1500 square foot music classroom is proposed to occupy the vacated shop space which will provide the volume of space necessary for the elementary school music program.
Faculty Resource Area
New 1,000 square foot faculty resource area to provide support and resource space for faculty and will offer flexibility for faculty and staff to support student learning.
Gymnasium
The existing gym will remain in place yet be modified to support the elementary students.
A ball screen will divide the center of the space to offer flexibility in use such as dining, presentations, and physical education class.
Playground
Create an elementary school playground.
The new playground will provide a safe route from the elementary school, include safe playground surface materials and a layout to support safety and accessibility.
The existing elementary school equipment will be relocated from the Clinton Elementary School.
Middle/High School Safe and Secure Entry
Secure front entrance vestibule and office renovation at the existing middle/high school.
A pass-thru entry system in which visitors buzz in to the entrance vestibule and then are required to pass through building's main office reception area.
Visitors check in at the reception desk for admittance into the building.
The existing office space includes a reception space, work room, conference room, storage, and a health office.
Career Technical Education Addition
A 6,250 square foot addition which will support CTE instruction including an updated shop, Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) labs, and a flexible general classroom.
Supportive spaces will include ADA accessible restrooms, circulation, and mechanicals.
What is Career and Technical Education (CTE)?
Career and Technical Education (CTE) is an educational program that focuses on providing students with the knowledge, skills, hands-on learning experiences, and expertise necessary to pursue specific career paths.
CTE includes a wide range of programs, such as:
Construction
Trades (plumbing, electrical, mechanical)
3D modeling
Manufacturing, machining, and welding
Small engine repair and autos
Robotics
Engineering (design, layout, CAD, etc.)
CTE programs benefit all students, and help them gain employment skills, life skills, technical knowledge, and the training they need to thrive in today’s and tomorrow’s workforce.
Athletics/Physical Education Addition
A 29,000 square foot addition which will include a two-court gym with bleachers that will have flexibility to support competition play.
Additional spaces to include a new weight room, men’s and women’s locker rooms for athletics and physical education classes.
Support spaces to include ADA accessible restrooms, concessions, athletics offices, circulation, and mechanicals to support the addition.
Building Improvements
Parking Lot
Addition to existing parking lot to provide a 34,000 square foot parking lot that is accessible.
Improve the paved surface to support the expansion of the school’s athletics and CTE space.
Learning Resource & SPED Resource Updates
Updates to existing classrooms to provide centralized resource learning for all students.
Included is a renovation to an existing 830 square foot classroom which will provide resources for SPED students.
Updates will include a new ADA accessible restroom, cabinetry, furiture, fixtures and equipment as needed.
Adjacent to this space is a renovation to an existing 830 sq. ft. classroom which will include the introduction of windows into the corridor, glass overhead door systems, power/technology, furniture, fixtures and equipment that will support independent and collaborative learning.
Roof
Roof replacement to alleviate the existing failing roof issues.
Fixtures, Furniture and Equipment
Update existing fixtures, furniture and equipment througought the middle/high school environments where needed.
