Check Out Policy

At Aspen Creek Elementary, we have an open check out policy. Students will have the opportunity to check out each week during their library class time. However, students are welcome to visit the library and check out at anytime. The quantity and type of library books available to students at any given time is as follows:

Kindergarten: one picture book

First Grade: one picture book

Second Grade: two picture and/or chapter books

Third Grade: two picture and/or chapter books

Fourth Grade: two picture and/or chapter books

Fifth Grade: two picture and/or chapter books

Students may occasionally check out more books to complete classroom projects or if they participate in the Battle of the Books Club. Students are responsible for the books they check out. If books are lost or damaged, students are responsible for the replacement cost of the book(s).
