Monday, 3/19: Begin studying the Rise of Sumerian city-states - read sections 1 and 2 and answer corresponding questions in answer packet.

Tuesday, 3/20: Rise of Sumerian city-states - sections 3 through 5.

Wednesday, 3/21: Rise of Sumerian city-states - section 6. Then we will begin making a real estate ad for ancient Sumer - directions are found on page 6 of the student answer packet.

Thursday, 3/22: Processing - Finish creating a real-estate ad for a Sumerian City-State

Friday, 3/23: Writing - thinking like an archaeologist

Monday, 3/26: Begin studying ancient Sumer

• Analyze an artifact: the Standard of Ur. List details and write a paragraph.

Friday, 4/20: Finish sharing and and discussing Muslim innovations and adaptations.

Monday, 4/23: Review day. Catch up on previous notes and activities in preparation for tomorrow's quiz.

Tuesday, 4/24: Quiz on Mesopotamian empires and the innovations of medieval Muslims.
