Monday, 5/28: Memorial Day, no school.

Tuesday, 5/29: Japan introduction. View video on the country and region before beginning geography mapwork.

Wednesday, 5/30: Work on Japan geography mapwork.

Thursday, 5/31: Briefly review mapwork and discuss answers. Begin Japan/Korea textbook reading and guided questions.

• Mapwork is homework if not finished

Friday. 6/1: Complete Japan/Korea textbook reading and guided questions. It is due at the end of class.

• Homework: remember to bring in all Russia materials to class on Monday.

Monday, 6/4: Revisit Russia once more: mandatory test corrections

Tuesday, 6/5: Create a One Pager on Japan based on the text reading (p. 135-145)

Wednesday, 6/6: WWII intro and notes - focus on Japan.

Thursday, 6/7: Source analysis - atom bombs. Read and analyze specific sources in groups to better understand both sides of the issue.

Friday, 6/8: Rearrange groups to learn about sources not analyzed. Take notes on arguments for and against the use of the atom bomb on chart on the final page of the packet.

Monday. 6/11: Turn in Japan/WWII packet. View film(s) influenced by Japanese culture.

Tuesday, 6/12: Field trip day. No class.

Wednesday, 6/13: Continue film(s) influenced by Japanese culture.

Thursday. 6/14: Half Day.

Friday, 6/15: Half Day. Last day of school.
