Expectations for Convocation 2020-2021

1. Be on time – please be sure to log in on time for Convocation.

2. Campus Shirts- It is still a work day and professional dress is expected. At Seguin we will wear our campus shirts. If you do not have one, please wear either purple or grey shirts.

3. Be attentive -campus closure signs are posted however you should still come into the building. If you are logging in from home please ensure that you are free from distractions.

Sneak-A-Peek Preparation

Reminders:

• You should have already contacted all of your parents to inform them of the event.

• You should send a reminder about the event after lunch and again at 4/5 pm.

• The expectation is professional dress (at least from the waist up).

• You should have your technology charged and ready to go.

• Your presentation should include the following

  • an introduction of yourself and your classroom environment, (physical and virtual).

  • the daily virtual learning schedule

  • what instruction will look like in person when we resume

  • reinforcing safety protocols that will be in place in the classroom and common areas

  • Ipad deployment information (see information below regarding k-5 Ipad distribution)

• Be sure to show your excitement for the upcoming school year.

• Teachers will also need to record/upload their presentation to Google Classroom for parents to be able to watch at their convenience.

• NOTE: Practice your presentation before you zoom with families.

Kick-Off Prayer and Dinner

Last year we started our first Parent/Student Event (Sneak-A-Peek) with prayer and dinner. While this year we must do things a little different we still want to continue with the tradition.
