Hello!  Welcome to the Tiger Den!  

I am Korina Scott the School Counselor at Tice Elementary!  I am originally from East Central Illinois and graduated from Eastern Illinois University with my bachelors in Elementary Education.   I taught 4th and 5th grade for 9 years at Jacinto City Elementary in GPISD.  

In August of 2016, I graduated with my Master's in School Counseling from the University of St. Thomas.  In 2017, I began my career as a School Counselor at Tice Elementary and I absolutely love it!  

I believe building relationships with students is the key to helping them reach their full potential.  Everyone needs someone in their corner and to help pick them up when they are down.  I pray that God continues to guide me to be that leader for all students, parents, and staff in GPISD.
