Hello! I am Nurse Hernandez, the school nurse for WAES & WAMS. I have been a registered nurse for 25 years and have been with GPISD for 15 years. I am on campus to assist with any medical needs, implement well being and to facilitate students, staff and parents in the proper well being direction. For the 2023 - 2024 school year, the Covid hotline or administration building reporting is no longer required or monitored.
All students and staff are required to follow their Dr's recommendations and to contact your school to report Covid + cases.
Masks are optional.
If your child does not have a Dr, please call GPMS Legacy clinic 281-628-2050 to make an appointment.
Services are based on a sliding scale and NO student will be turned away.

Please do not give fever reducer to your child if they have over 100 degree temp and send them to school. All students must be fever free, vomiting free and diarrhea free x 24 hours, before they can return to school. This ensures infection control and helps prevent the spread any illnesses from student to student and student to staff
Por favor, no le dé medicamentos para reducir la fiebre a su hijo si tiene más de 100 grados de temperatura y envíelo a la escuela.
