In my identity project, the most noticeable thing is that the face is checkered into a white and blue pattern. This is because I really like to play chess so I decided to show that through the checkered face. Above the face is the United States flag and Mexico flag to represent my roots and heritage. Since I am Catholic, I also decided to place a cross. Going back to the face, I drew a magician's hat and playing cards because I spend a bit of my free time learning card tricks. They help me learn something new and to always keep trying until it works out. I also drew an open book because I have always enjoyed to read. Since 1st grade till now, books have been a great part of me both inside and outside of school. Moving on, to signify my name and birth date, I placed both of them to the left and right of the face. Last, but most definitely not least, I placed a few origami paper airplanes on the bottom of the face to represent my first hobby. I have been doing paper airplanes and origami for slightly over 4 years (I started when I was 8) and have always enjoyed the fact about using something so simple as a piece of paper and creating something completely new. This is also how I discovered what I want to become when I grow up (aerospace engineer), so this hobby is very important to me.
