Elkin P.

My Story

Elkin Rafael Puente Campos is an energetic, but sometimes calm, and quiet eigth grader. At the moment, he is 13 years old, and his birthday is on the 28th of May. Elkin was born at a hospital at Galveston Beach, two years after his sister, Melanie Fabiola Puente Campos, who was born at the same place as him. Elkin lives in a small house, with his mother, his father, his sister, and his dog, Yayo. Yayo is a black 17-year-old chihuahua and Elkin loves him so.

Elkin’s main hobby is drawing, because he’s been into drawing since he was in pre-k. He wasn’t very good at it at the time, but as the years went on, he got more skilled, and he gained a love for drawing cartoons, or simply non-realistic characters. See, Elkin has a huge imagination, and he gets new ideas almost every day, whether it be something new, or something inspired by another game, book, story, etc. Elkin gets most of his ideas from graphic novels, which is his favorite book genre since it gives him inspiration and courage to make his comics. If there is a moment when Elkin runs out of ideas, he plays video games. He likes to play Pokémon, or Mario games mostly. These games give him more ideas, or just simply entertain him for the moment.

One of Elkin’s greatest achievements has been to pass every grade up to 8th without failing a year. Elkin might be distracted, and sometimes disruptive, but he’s a good and smart student when he knows he needs to be. This trait is what mostly helped him pass all of his years, and not stay back at all. Elkin is a great singer too, and he was awarded “Most Outstanding Choir Student” in his first year of middle school, and half of his second. Unfortunately, it was his attendance at events that prevented him from getting the same award, but he’s still super proud of himself, winning “Most Outstanding 7th-grade Boy.” Elkin is now working on getting his attendance early and focusing on his voice, and accuracy, to hopefully win an award this year. During the summer in between his second and third year, Elkin enrolled in a karate class and has been attending it ever since. As of now, he is going to be an advanced blue belt, and he hopes to make it far up in the ranks one day.

Elkin has many intriguing goals, like getting the “most outstanding choir student” again, making it to a black belt, and learning how to draw realistic art, to be better at art. He hopes to pass future grade levels and be a well-behaved, and well-educated student for more years to come.
