The Final Year
Three total years of middle school. Two are already completed, and the third one is reaching its conclusion. Middle school was a wild ride for me. I went through so much and l learned a lot from these years. I’ve improved both physically and mentally, and I hope to keep doing so for the years to come. I’m still as childish as I ever was, but at least I’ve toughened quite a bit from this year. Now with the final weeks being completed, this is a brief summary of my eighth year of school.
The year started, and I was different in appearance. For starters, my hair was longer, and my stretching in Taekwondo made me taller, by at least an inch or so. My voice deepened a bit, so I sounded different too. My classes were fairly simple. I struggled academically, and emotionally since I got cheated on during the year. It was devastating, and I was left distressed for two months. I went through so much drama (which I do not want to talk about) so the first semester was difficult.
The second semester was normal for the most part, other than my heartbreak during the start, but by late February I finally moved on and things went great afterward. I finished most of my encounters assignments early, so I got a few free days. Throughout the year, Encounters was a simple class, and while some of the essays were tough, I pulled through, and now I’ve reached the easy part of the year; the part where we are almost done. My other classes, ELAR, science, choir, art, Spanish, and history, were also simple. I’d say my most difficult class was Algebra since I could barely catch up with my missing work.
My greatest friends of the year were Carlos, Richard, Xiomara, and William. They were all important to me since they were most there for me. Even through heartbreak, and many struggles, I pulled through, and I succeeded through the year. Staar tests are right around the corner, so might as well get ready for what’s next.
