One time I experienced failure this year was when I got third place in the 400m at my only track meet. Even though third place isn't terrible it still isn't first. I think that if I would've committed to track earlier and got more practice I could've gotten first. I think that if I committed earlier I could've had more practice to make me faster. If I went to more practices I also might've had a better idea on what to expect and what to do. This taught me about failure by showing me that even though I tried my hardest I still couldn't quite get first. This also taught me that even though you won't always win as long as you know that you tried your hardest it's okay. This will influence my future challenges by helping me take on the challenge with the mindset of try your best. I will also take on challenges knowing that even though I try my best I won't always come out in first and that's okay. This experience showed me that I am capable of running track and not doing terrible.
