Madison Cabrera was born on October 19, 2009, in Mexico. She is 13 years old and is an eighth-grader in WAMS. Her parents are Rafael Cabrera and Mayra Leiva. Madison has two siblings, Rafael Cabrera and Mathew Leiva. Madison moved to Houston, Texas when she was 9 years old and she has lived here ever since. Her parents are divorced so she lives with her mom and stepfather in Texas while one of her brothers and dad live in Mexico. Madison doesn’t have a lot of family in Houston because they all live in Mexico. She currently doesn't have any pets because when she had one, her older brother lost her, and since then, Madison's mom doesn't consider her mature enough to have another pet. For Madison, her family is the most important thing ever and they mean a lot to her so when she sees them, it makes her very happy.
Madison has a lot of hobbies and some of them are writing, listening to music while cleaning, playing random games with her friends as well as playing volleyball. Madison loves to play sports so when she lived in Mexico, she practiced soccer and gymnastics. Sports and her other hobbies mentioned before calm her down when she feels stressed, so she does them often. Another hobby that Madison has is cooking. She loves to spend time with her family and when she cooks, she gets to spend a lot of time with them. Her family is her biggest supporter, so she loves to talk to them and spend time with them. But Madison's favorite hobby is to hang out with her friends. Her friends are something really special to her, so any moment is something she cherishes. One of Madison's talents is to sing, write, cheer and never giving up. Maybe that last one is not always considered a talent, but it is not something everyone does or has. Madison always faces her problems and no matter how bad it gets; she gets up with a positive attitude and tires again if she can.
One of Madison’s accomplishments is that at the end of 6th and 7th grade she passed all of her staar with a master's. Now that she's in eight grade she has kept all A's all year long and she has passed all of her major tests with A's and only 1 B. She also won 2nd place in the WAMS science fair, and she considers it a great accomplishment she is proud of. Finally, she got a 1 on her solo and ensemble competition for choir because the choir is one of her favorite classes, it made her happy to know maybe she is good at it. Another accomplishment that Madison has is that when it comes to facing life problems, she always learns from them and tries to improve, no matter how small or big the problem is. This can help her through her life on many occasions because it always good to move forward and learn from the past. It can be considered one of Madisons's recent accomplishments because a few months ago she didn't realize she was not doing it, and not doing her best. Currently Madison is more mature and is able to improve with any situation, academically and personally, and this qualities helped her with her past accomplishments and will her help in the future to accomplish more of her dreams.
One of the major goals that Madison has is to get into a good college when she is older and to continue being an A Honor Roll student. She wants to have a curriculum with perfect attendance, grades and behavior to make her parents proud and enter a good university. Her grades are very important to her, and she plans to keep that. She also has a goal to stay in advanced classes all through middle school and high school because that would look very good when she tries to get into colleges. As the eight grader that Madison is right now, her current goal is to pass her last year of middle school with really good grades. She is really dedicate into that and is working hard for it, it being one of her major goals due to the impact it can have on her. Her life goal is to have a great future with a good job so these little goals are some of the things that may help her along that path. She also really hopes to live a happy life when she's older, with her dream job, dream family and a good personality.
