Brooklyn's Brilliant Bug Life
At 12:45pm on October 3rd, 2011, at Texas Woman’s Hospital, Brooklyn Paige Erebia was born. Her arrival made her family of 4 a family of 5. Brooklyn was born to Amanda and Louis Erebia and two older brothers named Austin and Logan. Austin and Logan were excited to have a baby sister. When Brooklyn’s mother was pregnant with her, her grandmother wished that she would have a brown eyed girl because none of the grand kids had brown eyes. Well, what do you know……. she got her wish. Brooklyn came out with the only brown eyes in her family, other than her dad. Brooklyn quickly wrapped her father around her finger. He would post pictures of her every day on social media. He was so happy with his baby girl. Two and a half years later in July of 2013 Brooklyn got a little sister named Addison and she completed their family.

Brooklyn is currently 14 years old in 8th grade and is in advanced classes. She was also on the volleyball team in school. Brooklyn enjoys playing roblox with her friends, she also likes playing volleyball outside of school. When Brooklyn was younger she was in dance, but let’s just say it wasn’t her thing. She liked to do her own thing during the recitals and not what the rest of the group was doing. After that she decided to try tumbling and competitive cheer and boy was she good at it. She was a natural and excelled quickly until one day she had a horrible accident. She was tumbling and landed wrong, breaking her forearm in two places. She was rushed by ambulance to the ER and had to have emergency surgery. She got two rods placed in her arm. She tried to go back to tumbling but was never the same. She eventually stopped because she had a mental block every time she would try to tumble. After that she started playing volleyball again.

Brooklyn is an honor roll student and has perfect attendance, mostly because her mom does not let her miss school. Brooklyn has many accomplishments. Let's start with UIL. In 4th grade Brooklyn competed in Art UIL and placed 4th. In 5th grade she competed in Art UIL once again and added Ready Writing. She placed 1st place in Art and 3rd place in Writing. In 3rd and 4th grade Brooklyn got the Daniel Bazan Jr award. Brooklyn has been in the honor society and student council since 4th grade. She is known as a leader amongst her peers. Brooklyn accomplished a lot during her cheer career. She worked very hard with her team for all the grand champion awards given to her. Also, another accomplishment she got was finally being accepted into encounters after taking the test for 3 years.

Brooklyn has many goals. For example, she wants to get all A’s to get into a good college, preferably A&M for the veterinarian program. When she grows up she really wants to be a veterinarian. The reason why she wants to go to A&M for this is because she heard from her brother's friend that there is a very good vet program there. If she does end up going to A&M, she would like to pursue her volleyball hobby and play college volleyball maybe even go D1. Another goal she has is to get the U.S.A Club Volleyball 14’s National Championship Medal.
