An obstacle I overcame this year was trying to make good decisions and not getting distracted during class. At first, it was hard for me to do this because I had at least one good friend in each of my classes, but towards the middle of the year, I realized how important it is for me to get good grades and keep them up. I struggled with telling my friends that I wanted to focus during class and try to understand what we were learning, but if they want you to succeed, they will understand where you are coming from. My friends still often talk and laugh during class, but I learned how to focus and cancel them out. I learned that problem-solving can be very difficult, but if you keep trying, you can reach your goals and benefit from them.
