The 7th grade was a very beneficial year. I was in the varsity choir, and in band. I was accepted into the WAMS student council. I went to a UIL competition with a choir and we got all 1’s which is the highest score a choir can get. I had an audition for region choir, and I was a couple chairs away from making region choir. Me and my cheer team won our cheer competition and are going to nationals. Something I definitely improved in was playing my instrument. At the beginning of the year I couldn’t play my flute at all, and now I have learned how to play many pieces of music. I also had a solo ensemble contest and I got a 1. The most difficult part of the school year was probably the third nine weeks of school because I wasn’t turning my work in on time. Something I would change about this school year is my grades because they could have been better and I could have focused on my school work more. My favorite memory from 7th grade was when me and my friends went to Whataburger after we were singing in the admin building. One thing I didn’t like this year was that STAAR was a whole month ahead. I also didn’t like region auditions because we had to wake up early and I was bored while we were waiting for everyone to finish. Although, there were a lot of good things that happened in 7th grade. One of my favorite field trips was when my band directors took us to support the high school band at a competition. It was my favorite because we got to spend time with the high school band kids and they gave us food after the competition. The 7th grade was an incredible year.
