Abby L. was born in the city of Mexico on July 21, 2011, along with her twin sister, Evva. Abby is the daughter of Letty and Chuyy, sister of Sara, and twin of Evva. Abby’s mom, Letty had a premature delivery and struggled through her whole pregnancy. Luckily, both Abby and Evva grew up strong and healthy. After two years, they decided to move to Houston for a better education, lifestyle, and childhood for their three daughters. Currently, Abby is attending her last year at Woodland Acres Middle School.
Ever since Abby was little, she always seemed to have a passion for art and was told she was a remarkable drawer for her young age. As soon as she reached 7th grade, she joined an art class and won a few awards. Besides drawing, Abby has also found a love for music and spends hours seeking to improve her skills to stay on top. When it comes to being active, she likes to play volleyball with her twin and aunt often whenever she gets the time to. She has always been such a talkative and expressive person to friends and family; always bothering them with her constant complaints about school.
In past years, Abby has accomplished many things including winning 3rd place in the 6th grade Social Studies UIL competition and winning 2 medals in the VASE competition for art class that included competing with kids from many different districts. She has always been gifted with great academic skills in school that helped her achieve all A’s in all her classes. One achievement that Abby is particularly proud of is mastering all of her STAAR tests taken during the school years, especially the 7th grade test which showed her significant growth and improvement in some subjects. Lastly, Abby has been able to get into Wind Ensemble 2 years in a row with the top spot in her section which makes her undoubtedly very proud and shows her how much her practice has paid off through the years.
Through all of the leaps and struggles that Abby has gone through, she is still determined to achieve those long-awaited goals in life. Some of these goals may include improving academic skills and artistic skills. However, Abby considers her education something to focus on, though the other two are just as important as she hopes to complete high school in the top 5%. She will study continuously as the goal will not be easy to reach or achieve. Once she finishes high school she will continue straight into a good college that will help her prepare for the future and give her the diploma that she needs for what she hopes to choose in the future. Right now though, Abby will solely focus on improving her grades and doing well in her classes through her last middle school year.
