The most important element of my personal beliefs is growth. Just as I ask my students to be willing to grow as learners, I am comfortable admitting that I have a long way to go to become the teacher I want to be. The past nineteen years at East Elgin have been a process of trial and error, and an ongoing exploration of who I am as an educator and how best to learn from the successes and mistakes that have shaped my teaching. I am always learning. Every student I teach is also my teacher. There are so many more lessons to be learned!Â
On this page you will find documents related to my personal philosophy of teaching. For additional information about my teaching philosophy, please also consider viewing some of the videos on my Inspirations page.
