APPLYING FOR CO-OP

The application process for co-op begins with course selection in January.  Students who decide they would like to be in the co-op program at Central will then go through an interview process in March.  This process will help to determine which placements are best suited to their career choice and also if co-op is the best overall choice for their future.

Application Form

To apply for Coop, you must fill in the application form which can be found at the bottom of this page or in the guidance office.  Please completely fill out the form, do not leave sections blank.  The form is due back to the guidance office in February on the same day your course selection is due.

As part of the application process, you will need to identify a teacher who you feel would be able to provide accurate information about you and your suitability as a coop student.  This teacher should be asked for permission prior to their name being given and ideally they should teach you in the area that you are interested in pursuing for your coop placement.  If you are doing remote schooling this year, ask one of your online teachers.

Interview Times

When interviews have been determined, students will be emailed and a list will be posted outside the co-op office (room 315).
