Fundamental Favourites

We offer a range of different courses in music, our most popular being Instrumental (winds and brass) which is a staple in our department from the time students join us in grade nine, right through to graduation. In addition, students have the opportunity to explore music in vocal and guitar.

Visit our Courses page for more information on all of our course offerings and how to register:

New Courses to SDCI Music

AMG2O and AMG 3M

Guitar- Beginner (AMG 2O) and Advanced (AMG 3M)

This course is designed for students who have an interest in learning guitar.

Students will receive the same musical education that they would otherwise receive in a traditional instrumental course. Instead of learning  winds and brass instruments, this course is focused exclusively on the classical guitar.

Students will enjoy the opportunity to refine individual skills and musicianship as well as collaborate in small and large ensembles.

For more information about this course, please email Ms. Curran:

Join Our Ensembles

In addition to our instructional courses, students have the opportunity to join one of our many ensembles where they make friends and memories in rehearsal, at performances, and on excursions. Many of our musicians wind up joining multiple ensembles over their four years and travel with us form London, to Toronto, to New York City. Join an ensemble today!

Visit our Ensembles page for more information on rehearsals. See below also.

Since we couldn't have an in-person concert Winter 2021, we decided to share audio recordings from some of our musical ensembles. We were thrilled to finally be able to play together again in-person. Enjoy this recording of song selections performed by our creative and talented music students. T

This recording includes the following ensembles:

The Senior Band , The Jazz Band, The Junior Band and our Guitar Ensemble

Singer/Songwriter Guest Speaker

On November 23rd, 2021, Ms. Curran's guitar class had a special guest.  Singer/songwriter, Genevieve Fisher,  spoke to us about songwriting and what it's like to be a professional musician. It was an inspirational experience for everyone.  Thank-you to London Music Office for allowing us this opportunity and for organizing and creating "Country Classrooms".
