Western Percussion Ensemble Concert

Music students are encouraged enjoy one of the most exciting performances of the Western University Concert Season at our first afternoon field trip of the year.

Intergenerational Caroling

SDCI vocal students and Concert Choir members travel to senior living facilities in the Strathroy community to perform and sing carols together to celebrate the festive holiday season.

SDCI Winter Concert

Join the music department at our annual winter concert in December. All ensembles perform in a festive evening of sound for all! This is a well attended event, so be sure to get there early.

Toronto Kiwanis Festival

The Junior Band travels North to take part in the Toronto Kiwanis Music Festival in February. This is a staple of our music department which gives our musicians the opportunity to showcase their talents and visit some big city attractions such as Ripley's Aquarium, CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, etc. Wish them well!

Western Wind Ensemble Concert

Our second Western University field trip of the school year features their very own Wind Ensemble as they perform similar works to the repertoire performed by our own concert bands at SDCI. This is a fantastic opportunity for our musicians to hear post secondary music students perform at a high level. It is always an impressive event.

London Kiwanis Festival

Every March and April, we send our concert choir and concert bands to perform and compete with other secondary schools in the district. This festival highly attended by schools in Thames Valley and highlights our strong and vibrant, local Arts community. Our students always enjoy sharing our work as well as hearing what other schools have been up to.

Variety Is

More than 1,300 talented students in 23 different ensembles from across Thames Valley come together to perform an innovative concert at Budweiser Gardens in April.

Join the music department in May at our annual spring concert as we perform our festival repertoire along with other popular favourites. All ensembles to perform!

New York

Every other year, our music seniors have the opportunity to travel to the Big Apple to take in the sights and sounds. This trip often features a New York Philharmonic concert and a Broadway show, among other events. It is a fantastic way to end our year and celebrate all of the hard work that goes into making music at SDCI.
