This course provides students with the foundation of knowledge needed to create their own artwork and continue to explore art courses in the future.

We teach fundamental Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking skills in this course as well as introduce fascinating art history starting with Prehistoric Cave Paintings to Egyptian art and everything in between.

Students get to do a lot of hands-on learning in this course. They are given the time required to develop their skills in the arts and many are surprised by the quality of work they are able to create!

This course examines Aboriginal cultures in Canada through exploring various art forms (painting, sculpture, storytelling, dance, and music) created by Aboriginal Artists.

Students will learn to identify Aboriginal art forms and how they relate to traditions, philosophy, and culture.
