Building and Maintaining Healthy Relationships
Success in our studies is certainly part of the formula for a successful and satisfying life. However, successful relationships with other people really help us build a happy life. The ability to interact and collaborate with other people requires good communication and interpersonal skills.
If we find it difficult to get along with others, share responsibilities, and maintain healthy relationships, then it may be difficult to feel satisfaction with school or work. However, when we can create healthy relationships with other people, we are often more successful in our lives at home and at work.
People make the jobs that we do, and the lives that we live, both challenging and satisfying. Our own attitudes and interpersonal skills have a huge impact on the health of our present and future relationships.
There is no simple checklist for these skills, but while you are enrolled in the Gateway to Learning program, you will have the opportunity to practice some of the skills and develop some of the attitudes that may help you find success and satisfaction in your personal and professional relationships.
