Two and Three digit addition and subtraction.

I have included  strategies (videos) to help with subtraction as it is difficult but would be best if the kids could land at the algorithm as the numbers in Grade 4 get bigger.

I would suggest 5 - 10 minutes per night until your child can successfully subtract using the algorithm. The below two strategies can be used until your child can recognized the algorithm.

1. 2-Digit addition with base tens

2. 2 digit subtraction with base tens

3. 2 digit addition with a number line

4. 2 digit subtraction with a number line

5. 3-digit addition with base tens

6. 3-digit addition with open number line

7. Subtraction with regrouping

8. Subtraction using an open number line
