Spring 2023 (April 3-6)
For Grade 10 students and Grade 11-12 students who have not yet met the requirement
**The test consists of 2 parts, and each part will take the students 2 periods to write:
Cohort A (half of the grade 10 homerooms) will write booklet A during periods 1 & 2 on April 3, and then booklet B during periods 1 & 2 on April 4.
Cohort B homerooms will write booklet A on April 5 during periods 1 & 2, and then booklet B on April 6 during periods 1 & 2.
All grade 10 students will attend prep sessions in the auditorium, led by members of our Literacy Committee, so classroom teachers will not have to deliver OSSLT prep materials to their classes. The auditorium dates for grade 10 classes are as follows:
A) Period 2 Classes - Wed. March 8
B) Period 5 Classes - Thurs. March 9
Lunchtime sessions open to all students will be held in the library on the following 3 days:
A) Tues. March 21
B) Wed. March 22
C) Thurs. March 23
Practice Test Session (All Grade 10 Homerooms will do the practice OSSLT on Tues. March 28)
Sample tests are very helpful. Log on, find student resources and select a practice test. Take a look at the sample responses for more information as to how responses are scored.
Extra help and one to one tutoring is available in the Learning Support room
Make sure you arrive to school on time, eat a good breakfast and be well-rested.
