Alternative Ways to Earn a Credit

Students in Grade 12 may be eligible to take college courses while in high school through the Dual Credit/Day Away program. Students can earn credits that count as high school and college credits at both Fanshawe and Lambton College.  Please see your guidance counsellor for more information.

School Within a College (SWAC) and School Within a University (SWAU) are two other TVDSB programs suitable for students who may be disengaged with the traditional high school but have potential to be successful.  These two programs give students the chance to attend a high school classroom at Fanshawe or Western, complete their remaining high school credits while earning college or university credits. Please see your guidance counsellor for more information.

New credit summer school courses are offered in July.
