(English, Physical Education and 2 electives will be taught in English for a total of 8 courses).
Laurier FI students have the opportunity to earn a Sir Wilfrid Laurier French Immersion Certificate or an Ontario French Immersion Certificate upon graduation.
[1] Four French Immersion language courses Grades 9-12.
[2] A minimum of five French Immersion courses at the intermediate level (Grades 9 and 10) in other subject areas.
[3] A minimum of three French Immersion courses at the senior level (Grades 11 and 12) in other subject areas.
We recommend students work towards obtaining the Laurier Certificate!!

The DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue française) is an international diploma awarded to Grade 12 FI students who successfully complete the DELF French language competency exam adminstered by the Minsitry of Education in France.
For the past 4 years, Laurier Grade 12 French Immersion students have challenged the DELF exam at either the B1 or B2 level. These levels are internationally recognized as independent levels of proficiency!
Our success:
Laurier's FI programme has one of the highest number of students who have passed the DELF exam in TVDSB! In 2024, 80 Grade 12 Laurier Immersion students pass the DELF exam (50 at the B2 level and 30 at the B1 level for a record year)!

The DELF examinations are an opportunity for students to demonstrate their French-language skills. The DELF represents international recognition of your French-language skills.
