Predict - Use the 'If....then...' statement
Explain - Why do you think this? (prior experiences, topics covered in class, theories studied)
Observe - Both qualitative and quantitative
*as a teacher, I would provide my students with intentional instruction here - a video, shared reading, newspaper article that confirms and continues to develop the personal knowledge students have built for themselves.
Explain - Student understanding of experiment. Linked with prediction, initial explain, observations and directed teacher lesson.

Introduction - explaining the problem, stating a hypothesis, providing background knowledge.
Methods - image of setup, steps to replicate the experiment precisely, explain the variables
Results - provide a data table or graph of numerical data, explain qualitative observations (pictures / images)
Discussion - Make conclusions (hypothesis is supported or not supported), sources of error, connection to prior knowledge and understanding.
