WELCOME to Mrs. Marath's Google Site!
Welcome back Mustangs! It's hard to believe the summer is actually over. I trust you are refreshed, excited and eager to begin the school year. I am thrilled to be teaching grade 3, at McGregor Public School again this year and I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I know this year will be an eventful time for us and I can't wait to get started!
During Mathematics this month, our focus will be counting and representing numbers to 999 in various ways. During Language Arts, students will begin reading a number of short stories and poems, and will begin to create various types of written pieces, which focus on a “big idea”.
At the beginning of the year, I am often asked about the types of materials students could bring to school in September. Some common items used in the classroom daily that I recommend students have are: pencils, erasers, pencil crayons, scissors, metric rulers, glue stick/ bottle, Kleenex, and indoor shoes.
I will do my very best to foster a classroom community that is accepting and supportive of all students and that will promote and nurture emotional and physical well being. If at any time during the school year you have any questions, concerns or need to share some important information with me, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school. I am a true believer that we can all work together to make this the best learning experience possible for your child and I will do my best to keep the communication lines open.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Marath
