Crossroads Program: supports parents up to age 21 by helping pay a portion of their childcare and transportation costs so they can continue their education. Parents who qualify must be pursuing an education, under the age of 21, living in the same home as their child, is the primary caregiver and live in ND.   Exception: If the parent is already participating in the crossroads program and enrolls in a bachelor's degree program, they are eligible until the degree is completed.  Click for website link      click for application

Women, Infant and Children (WIC) The Supplemental Nutrition Program is for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) younger then 5 years. WIC helps parents give their children a healthy start by investing in their future with nutrition education and healthy foods. WIC is designed to provide families with the knowledge and resources to make healthy choices about what they eat.  It is this focus on good nutrition and the important role it plays in preventing lifelong health and developmental problems that defines WIC’s mission. WIC is a federal nutrition program that gives you nutrition information, counseling and support, breastfeeding information and support, nutritious foods, health screening and referrals to other services.  Walsh County WIC serves families in Cavalier, Pembina and Walsh County.
