🎮Minecraft rube Goldberg Machine 📖

We finished our fall STEAM unit with a building and electrical engineering challenge. Sixth-grade students worked together to build spooky houses with two light features. They used all kinds of found materials, copious amounts of hot glue, copper tape, LED's, coin batteries, and some sweat equity to make their haunted creations. We learned a lot as we worked through this activity, and I was a little concerned they would end up being haunted gingerbread houses. 🤣 Next up, python coding!

We kicked off our fall STEAM unit with a building challenge. Sixth grade students worked in teams to build the tallest standing tower using 20 candy pumpkins, 10 pieces of candy corn, and toothpicks. The kids had a great time and were definitely challenged with the materials. The upside is they got to have a sweet treat when it was over. Can't wait for our next project!
