Phil Moorhouse

About Me

I grew up and graduated from Cheney High School and received my B.S. in Biology and a B.A. in Education from Southwestern College before joining the Army where I retired after a 20 year military career.  After getting out of the Army, I taught for 10 years in Richmond, Virginia.  During this time I received a Masters of Education in Special Education.  And now, I am in my fourth year as a Lion.

My wife and I moved back to the family farm near Cheney where we are building a new house! I have four kids and four grandkids.  All of the kids are out of the house so my two Great Danes have taken over that role.  I am definitely a science nerd.  One of my high points was being able to spend three weeks on a science research ship in the Arctic Ocean several years ago and being able to share my experiences with my students while I was on ship and after I got back.
