a person whose job involves preparing and serving different types of coffee.
Students wanting to be a Barista in the Hard Back Cafe enjoy many perks. Not only will you receive half price coffee (not during promotion periods) but you can eat your breakfast or lunch while working in the cafe. Baristas also serve as our advertising and promotions team, designing and creating posters, promoting specials and over all good will toward coffee!
Only the scheduled baristas are allowed in the Hard Back Café and the door is to remain shut at all times.
Drinks are $1 for baristas and faculty ONLY.
Money must be paid, by the customer, at the circulation desk. Baristas are not to take money. Customers will receive a ticket to give the Barista for their coffee. No ticket, No coffee. No exceptions.
Tickets are to be turned back into the circulation desk at the end of your shift and must balance the money taken and drinks recorded.
If you are suspected or caught violating any of these guidelines you will be relieved of your position as a barista.
