Media Center Aide

Seniors are invited to become a Media Center Aid. Aids will serve in the library as an elective in their schedule. Students will learn Media Center skills including the Destiny program, how to maintain the order of a Media Center including in depth knowledge of the Dewey Decimal System and have input on library programs. Students will be expected to have initiative and maintain proper behavior. In addition a Junior Librarian must also meet the following requirements:

• Be ON TIME to school each day.
• Maintain passing grades.
• Maintain an E or S in classroom/specials conduct and study habits.
• Read on a regular basis.
• Be a positive role model to younger students by displaying exemplary behavior.
• Be able to work cooperatively with the other Junior Librarian members.
• Students must have reliable transportation.
