Students may come independently anytime throughout the day that the Media Center is open. Students are not allowed in the Media Center without the supervision of an adult. Teachers are not responsible for taking students to the media center.
Student check-outs are for 2 weeks. They are allowed to recheck a book if they need more time to finish it. Students will receive an overdue notice in their classroom for all materials that are checked out for longer than 2 weeks. Students are charged $.10/day for overdue books and will not be allowed to re-check or check out a new book until the fine is satisfied. Students are responsible for rechecking their books and paying fines they owe.
Mistakes happen and we totally understand; however, patrons are responsible for the fine associated with a lost or damaged (beyond repair) book.
There is a community puzzle that is available at all times for students to stop by and contribute to its completion. In addition, the Media Center will be offering a ProjectSpace for students that need to work on a project at school. A variety of supplies will be provided. Also, we will be incorporating MakerSpace projects geared toward math and science once a week. Don't forget about the Lone Star Challenge!
