The CIMCYC International Doctoral Summer School: Psychological Approaches to Misinformation in Minds and Society was a four-day, fully in-person event held from September 15 to 18, 2026.
The program focused on the psychology of misinformation by integrating individual, group and societal levels of analysis—such as basic cognitive processes, bias, persuasion, prejudice, identities, ideologies and values.
This event served as a meeting point for world-renowned researchers and early-career scholars from around the world. Ultimately, the event fostered knowledge exchange, promoted networking and supported the development of innovative interdisciplinary interventions.
Invited speakers include Lisa Fazio (Vanderbilt University), Paula Gori (European Digital Media Observatory), Pablo Hernández (Fundación Maldita.es), Stephan Lewandowsky (University of Bristol), Helena Matute (Universidad de Deusto) and Jon Roozenbeek (University of Cambridge).
