This site is to help you quickly find the most essential info about your first few days at NIWC Pacific.
Contact the your Human Resources POC if you are experiencing symptoms so that we can arrange for you to attend NEO Virtually.
Please head to the Onboarding Instructions webpages to get yourself prepared for your New Employee Orientation as a new NIWC Pacific Family Member.
Here is a quick look into the organization you are joining.
Complete your NEO Survey. (Please do NOT complete prior the end of NEO.)
Head to your badging appointment.
The Badging Office (San Diego employees) or your supervisor (remote-site employees) will reserve your badging appointment.
On the date of your appointment, bring your (2) Federal I-9 conforming IDs (one must be a conforming photo ID)
Please arrive a little early. The Badging Office will move to the next appointment after 5 minutes from the appointed time and you will need to reschedule. (Remember: These are the IDs which give you access to campus and your IT assets. You want to get them the first time!)
If you need to (re)schedule your San Diego badging appointment, contact (619) 553-3203. For remote-location appointment, please work with your supervisor for your RAPIDS appointment.
Meet with your Supervisor.
Set your benefits. Once you have been provided your CAC with the PIV certificate, you will need to assign your benefits. **NOTE: Benefits take a pay period to start after selection and are NOT retroactive from that date. Below is a list of benefits and timeframes to enroll. (Details - The Navy Civilian Benefits Welcome Page )
IT Access. You will need your common access card (CAC) and an LDAP ID in order to properly access your IT. If you encounter any issues logging in, please contact The ROC Service Center (619.553.HELP) to troubleshoot your issues.
Test Your NMCI Email Access. Encounter issues? 1-866-THE-NMCI. Need a local POC? Your Department Assistant Contract Technical Representative/ACTR.
Sign up for access to the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Tool (NERP) to gain access to your timecard.
Navigate to The Hub (portal and standard tool for processing various requests). No access? Call The ROC to troubleshoot (619.553.HELP)
Log into The Total Workforce Management System/TWMS for your remaining mandatory annual training requirements. No access? Contact your supervisor.
