During my junior year, I had the opportunity to use Teach Live. Teach Live is an online session where you get to teach AI students using your own lessons. I got to teach my students about healthy eating and how following MyPlate and the food pyramids can lead to healthy lifestyles.
Teach Live
Teach Live showed me a glimpse of what a real-life classroom could be like. One thing I liked was how students would get distracted, and I would have to make sure they were listening. I also enjoyed knowing that kids were interactive with my lesson and seemed to enjoy it.

Standard 3: Assessing, Planning, and Designing Contexts for Learning
Candidates assess students, plan instruction, and design classroom contexts for learning. Candidates use formative and summative assessments to monitor students’ learning and guide instruction. Candidates plan learning activities to promote a full range of competencies for each student. They differentiate instructional materials and activities to address learners’ diversity. Candidates foster engagement in learning by establishing and maintaining social norms for classrooms. They build interpersonal relationships with students that generate motivation and promote students' social and emotional development.
Teach Live represents standard 3 because it shows how I assessed student behaviors, planned instruction, and created an engaging, well-managed learning environment that met diverse learners’ needs.
