The development of energy-saving cooling technology: Qoolrack
Qoolrack adopts a cold plate design to meet customers’ thermal demands in 2022. It can save rack-level cooling power consumption by nearly 70%, as it can be operated without adjusting the heating or air conditioning (HVAC) to reduce overall power consumption. Under such environmental settings, the power usage effectiveness (PUE) can be lowered to 1.07.
First, the liquid is pushed out by the pump into CPU. Cooling liquid then goes through the cold manifold along the rack. The cold plate modules extract heat from each node. Liquid carries heat off the chips from hot manifold to the RDHx where radiators dissipate heat and fans remove heat from the liquid. Finally, the cooled liquid goes back to the CDU for another cooling cycle.
