The other will be a “Stranger Than Fiction” story (something unusual about Sable Island). Applicants must then explain how they know whether the story is true or false, including the evidence that supports their conclusion. Our evaluation committee will carefully consider the reliability of sources used, as well as the critical thinking skills demonstrated by the applicant.
Applicants can use various formats to demonstrate creativity with their submissions for the Sable Island scholarship. Written applications should be 800-1,000 words; video or audio content should be 3 – 5 minutes long. Interested students can refer to the Application Form for more details.
