A Technology Integrated Lesson:
The noticing, testing, confirming, and stating of the Integer Rules for Multiplying is an undertaking often ignored in favor of just telling students the rules. Integrating technology provides the think time, collaboration and consideration this activity deserves.
This lesson was tested in a classroom with this response: "Students were all able to reach and word a generalization. They got much more out of this activity then a whole class discussion".
Created using google slides, this animation brings to life an example of adding fractions. Perhaps an option for students in a choice board or as part of their own electronic portfolio.
