Arrive prepared with proper PE clothing and footwear (Sneakers, comfortable pants (not jeans), comfortable shirt). We hope to be outside as much as possible so please be dressed for the weather elements!
Show respect for self, others, and others’ property including equipment.
Participate in all aspects of PE class!
In order to accurately assess students in PE, students must have a high level of participation in ALL PE activities throughout the year. The new curriculum allows students the opportunity to be re-assessed on each outcome multiple times through varying activities not just one specific unit. If your son/daughter is injured or ill, please send a brief note with them or send me a quick email (mrobertson@hrce.ca).

Know your child's PE schedule and remind them to bring proper clothing and footwear to school on that day.
Encourage your child to participate to the best of their ability during physical education class.
Encourage your child to be active before and after school (ex. walk/bike with friends, try out for a sports team, start a running/jogging group, participate in intramurals, etc.)
Join me in being an CJS and AV PE Champion! Encourage healthy living by setting a great example by being active, and eating healthy. Also, let your child know just how important being physically active is and that your expectations for them are equal in all subjects; not just the academic ones.
Ask your child about what activities they have been doing in PE class. You might be pleasantly surprised by the amount of enthusiasm they show as they describe some of the highlights.
