Hi Parents, Caregivers and Guardians,

Having your learners at home, whether for a few days or longer, can be a challenge. Everyone's routine gets thrown off and the demands to get your own work done while supporting your child in trying to do theirs can be stressful. I get it. Please be kind to yourselves and do what works for your family! I know many of your children are active so you may feel like online PE isn't for them. More than anything, our PE meeting provides a chance for us to all to stay connected and have a few minutes together to get out the wiggles. If our meeting time doesn't work for your family, please send me an email to let me know and feel free to choose an activity from the Activities pages to do instead...or do an activity your family enjoys.

As for how online PE works, here's what you need to know...Each class has 2 15 minute scheduled Google Meet times with me each week. See the Google Meet Schedule page for when those times are. To access the Meet, simply have your child click on their class at the scheduled time and the Meet should open. Sometimes there may be a delay if your child is coming from a non-gnspes login. Not to worry, I will get a notification and will allow them to enter.

In the Activities sections of my site, I've tried to give lots of options that require minimal space and little or no equipment. I encourage you to use them as you wish to ensure your child is being active every day. If none of the options suit your family, perhaps go for a family walk, play a game of tag in the yard, dance together while you wait for dinner to cook, play catch with a ball or a rolled up pair of socks, kick a ball together or take a trip to a local park to explore nature. If you have more than one child in our school, they can do the same activity to give each other company and to keep things simple for you!

Unlike last year, there are no Google Forms to fill out. At this time, our online learning is expected to be short in duration, so this form of assessment is unnecessary.
